DIGITAL RESOURCES FOR ASSESSMENT
Mireia and I have chosen the 1st situation, where we would have organized our students in groups of 3 to carry out a project in Natural science during the 2nd term. While the kids are developing their Natural Science project and once they have finished it, the assessment will take place through the use of "Quizizz" and "Glogster".
What is the project about?
The project about natural science that the 4th grade primary students will carry out is about the different plants there can be found in their village. They will learn to classify them in: flowers, trees etc. Moreover, they will learn to differentiate each of them and learn their characteristics.
First assessment
In the middle of the project we would carry out an assessment based on the expression of knowledge through an individual "Quizizz", where we would include multiple-choice questions, as well as short answer questions to find out if they have achieved the contents. This way, we would be able to check if our students have understood the contents they need to develop for the final assessment. Then, if they have not completely achieved them, it is not too late to re explain them.
Second assessment
At the end of the project, we would carry out a performance-based assessment through the use of "Glogster", an app to create interactive posters. In their creations, they would have to add pictures taken during the development of the project, as well as short texts about the contents and the classification of the plants. In this activity, the students would be grouped in groups of 3 people.
CONCLUSIONS
With the creation of an assessment through the use of Digital Technologies, we have been aware how useful they are to assess activities that students have already carried out. We will definitely use these tools in the future.
