Raquel Tomàs Guim
PERSONAL PRESENTATION
Hello! I am Raquel Tomàs Guim and I am 19. I was born in 2001 and I have always lived in Palau d'Anglesola, a small town near Mollerussa. Since last year, I am also living in Lleida with two flatmates, so that it is easier for me to attend University.
I am currently studying Bilingual Primary Education in University of Lleida. This year, I am in my second year of University and I love what I am studying. I believe I have chosen my studies correctly.
I would like to become a teacher because I love being around kids and teaching makes me very happy. What I like the most about teaching is seeing how my students make progress and that they are enjoying the whole learning process.
MOTIVATION
My main motivation to complete this subject successfully is to learn more about how to become a good teacher. Last year I was already motivated about my degree, but with the quarantine I could not enjoy it as much as I would have, so this makes me feel like I have to take "double-profit" of this school year.
Also, this summer I have started babysitting kids and teaching English and I feel strongly motivated to learn how to do my job better.
INTERESTS
My hobbies are dancing, playing paddle, painting and listening to music.
However, I have other interests, such as learning how to become a good teacher or using my digital devices. Both of them are strongly related to this subject, which is Digital Technologies in Primary Education.
I am really interested in learning how to use digital tools to educate and teach.
EXPECTATIONS AND CHALLENGES
From this subject, I expect to learn how to involve technology in my teaching methods.
Moreover, I would like to discover new tools that may be useful for my daily life, not only as a student or a future teacher, but also as a member of the digital society we live in.
My main challenge is getting a good mark, because that would mean that I have dedicated a lot of time to the subject and that I have done my work properly.
